About

One senior. One phone number. The person whose name is on the proposal is the person who does the work.

Sandomenico Consulting started as a quiet reaction to a pattern that kept showing up on proposals from larger firms: a senior partner on the cover deck, a junior on the deliverable, and a fee that drifted the moment scope ran hot. The work I do now is the opposite shape — solo, senior-led, flat monthly retainer, scope agreed before the engagement starts.

The clients I work with are solo bookkeepers growing into fractional work, and small-business operators who run the books themselves alongside the operations. Most arrive with the same question: how do I scale the books without scaling headcount, and without handing the day-to-day to someone who has never met the client? The honest answer is to be small on purpose and senior by default.

Every engagement starts with a 90-minute diagnostic — the file, the chart of accounts, the reconciliation backlog, and the close cadence get reviewed in one sitting. From there the proposal lists deliverables, fixed monthly fee, and the exit criteria. There is no hourly billing and no associate bench to absorb the overflow.

no handoffs, no juniors · flat monthly retainer

Working together

If the shape of the work sounds right, the diagnostic is the fastest way to confirm fit. Scope, fee, and timing come out of one sitting — and committing to nothing more.
